Laura Trott wins silver at Track Cycling World Cup

Laura Trott took silver in the scratch race on the first day of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Hong Kong. 

Belarusian Marina Shmayankova took gold, while China's Qianyu Yang was in bronze. 

"I'm simply utilizing this weekend to get some experience again I figure," Trott told British Cycling. "For me the World Championships and the Olympics are clearly the most vital thing so to attempt and get as much race experience is what I'm here for." 

Then, Great Britain's Emily Nelson won her lady World Cup decoration by taking bronze in the focuses occasions behind Belgium's Jolien d'Hoore and Canada's Jasmin Glaesser.
