Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Thursday called upon his players to enhance their exhibitions or danger losing their World Twenty20 spot.
Pakistan named their 15-man World T20 squad a week ago however Afridi said 'a minute ago' changes could yet be made in light of the exhibitions of players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Asia Cup T20, which initiates February 29.
"I trust we don't have to roll out improvements in the squad and it [the same team] plays in both occasions however in the event that any player neglects to click in the Asia Cup then changes can be made in the side for the World T20," Afridi said in a meeting with Cricbuzz.
Universal Cricket Council (ICC) set February 8 as the starting due date to present the World T20 squads, while Pakistan was allowed a two-day expansion on Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) ask.
By ICC official, part countries can tinker with their group mixes until March 8.
Afridi said players who convey champion exhibitions in the continuous PSL will be considered for a spot in the World T20 squad.
"On the off chance that there are players who awe everybody in the Pakistan Super League, they can be considered for the World T20," he said.
Mohammad Nawaz and Rumman Raees are two players who have as of now profit by their PSL exhibitions, procuring spots in the Asia Cup and World T20 squads.
Be that as it may, Afridi communicated frustration over the endeavors of a few prepared campaigners who fizzled reliably.
"The group administration, selectors and I gave full certainty and backing to each player. The same reaction was not anticipated from players," he said.
Afridi trusted the PSL would serve as a strong stage for rising players and in the long run supply ability to the national group.
"Back home in residential cricket nobody comes to watch matches and there is no genuine weight on the players to do well. To me the PSL can serve as the stage where players can add to their certainty and figure out how to play under weight," he included.
