Japan coach quits after Olympic failure

TOKYO: World Cup champ Norio Sasaki quit as mentor of the Japanese ladies' group on Wednesday after their amazement inability to meet all requirements for the Rio de Janeiro OlympicsSasaki, who drove the Nadeshiko to the 2011 World Cup title and silver at the London 2012 Games, finished his rule with a 1-0 Olympic qualifying win over North Korea, a side he beat 3-2 in his first match in control in 2008.
