Lara Gut secures World Cup title with podium finish in Lenzerheide

Switzerland's Lara Gut asserted the Alpine Skiing general World Cup crown on Sunday as she completed third in the Alpine joined in Lenzerheide. 

Gut completed third behind kindred Swiss Wendy Holdener and Austria's Michaela Kirchgasser in Sunday's race. 

What's more, that saw her effectively get the six focuses she expected to secure the general Crystal Globe, given that closest challenger Lindsey Vonn's season was done right on time by damage and third-put Viktoria Rebensburg does not join in World Cup slalom races. 

Gut won the Crystal Globe in the Super-G in 2014, yet this is her first general title. 

Holdener additionally had something to commend: her triumph affirmed her as the Crystal Globe champ for the Alpine joined.
