Cavendish playing waiting game over Olympic selection

Mark Cavendish claims he is upbeat to play the holding up amusement with regards to his odds of contending at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games this mid year. 

Cavendish won the madison close by Bradley Wiggins at the World Track Championships in February yet just completed 6th in the omnium the occasion in which he would be contending in Rio consequently neglecting to accomplish the expressed pre-Championship objective of a platform place.

"There's nothing I can do to get prepared right now. The choice will be made in June," said Cavendish. 

"I don't know whether I'll go and there aren't any occasions I can use as arrangement, so there's just the same old thing new. 

"I'm working for my season out and about and we'll see what happens. Since it's nothing I can control, I'm not considering it right now."
