"They didn't put the numbers on the uniform since we didn't know which players were going to play.

"This is a period for Caribbean individuals to celebrate and we shouldn't be washing our material before the entire world. What's more, it's an ICC occasion and during a period when our patrons are getting greatest advantage for their sponsorship, we shouldn't be dirtying it in any case."

Nanthan focused on that he has no issue with Sammy taking after his tirade.

He included: "Darren Sammy, to me, we've generally had a father and child relationship. I met Darren Sammy when he was a store, at 15 years of age, for the Windwards youth group.

"He wasn't on the group and I, as director, demanded that he ought to be on the group and as an issue of an actuality, 15 years back or perhaps somewhat more, I conflicted with the selectors and the president of the Windward board and said, 'I am the administrator here and Darren Sammy is the man we ought to bring on board'.

"We have had a cozy relationship so I wasn't censuring Darren Sammy. I was attempting to put a few certainties straight so we could push ahead. I am not vexed with Sammy or the players by any stretch of the imagination."
