We have to take our risks against Pakistan: Wood

SHARJAH: Fast bowler Mark Wood encouraged his England colleagues on Tuesday to take their risks amid the forthcoming Test arrangement against Pakistan, pretty much as they did amid the victorious Ashes arrangement against Australia prior this year.

Talking after England's two-day practice match against a Pakistan 'A', Wood said tolerance would likewise be required when the three-Test elastic begins.
"The way to this arrangement is permitting that kind of period where they get a partnership — yet not give them a chance to get more than four runs an over," Wood said.
"We must be patient and we must take the half risks. We need to attempt and make 20 chances amid the Test match, and after that we are trusting that is everything we need. In summer at home, we took those in the Ashes, and we will need to do likewise here
sked the amount England needed to adjust to the conditions, Wood said: "The style is entirely unexpected. I think the brand of cricket one needs to play back home is being forceful, however we must adjust somewhat here.

"We attempted to be savvy, had defenders around the bat and attempted to do things like knock the ball now and again just to appear as something else. I think the Pakistan side never truly made tracks in an opposite direction from us today
