World Cup 2015 :Canada 15-17 Romania
Romania delivered the greatest rebound in Rugby World Cup history to topple Canada's 15-0 lead in the last half-hour of this Pool D conflict and win 15-17.
A first-half attempt by DTH van der Merwe and a punishment from Gordon McRorie gave Canada the lead and they extended that favorable position to 15-0 when Jeff Hassler scored an incredible individual attempt right on time in the second half and Nathan Hirayama changed over.
Be that as it may, Romania commanded the last half-hour of the match as their pack took control. Captain and No 8 Mihai Macovei was rolled over after a lineout on the left then, with Jebb Sinclair in the wrongdoing receptacle, Macovei smashed over from the back of a scrum for his second attempt. Florin Vlaicu changed over both and included a match-winning punishment two minutes from time.
So Canada complete their Pool D with only one reward point to their name, while Romania go ahead to play Italy on Sunday.
