Former fast bowler Aaqib Javed has discounted himself for the post of head mentor days in the wake of being the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) top target.
Javed, who had prior demonstrated an enthusiasm for accepting the occupation, said he was drawn nearer by the PCB a week ago yet was disillusioned by the board's choice to straightforwardly publicize for a successor to Waqar Younis.
The 43-year-old will rather stay with the UAE and said that he precluded himself due to the PCB's request that it needed a remote mentor.
"I'm still the UAE head mentor and am not going anyplace," Javed was cited as saying by Sport360.
"I'm not taking off. I'm not notwithstanding applying for the Pakistan work in light of the fact that the hypothesis is they are going for a remote mentor."
As per Javed, PCB had given him their statement however have had change of heart since.
