FLANDERS, Belgium: World champion Peter Sagan won the Tour of Flanders to secure his lady "Landmark" triumph in the wake of riding clear on the last slope of the one-day exemplary on Sunday.
The Slovak, who had three past main five completions in the race, pulled clear of Belgian Sep Vanmarcke close to the end of the work of art.
The Tinkoff rider, who softened a wheel right on time up the race, went too far 25 seconds in front of Swiss Fabian Cancellara, who was intending to wind up the principal man to win the Belgian exemplary four times. Vanmarcke completed third.
