Un-Nooh, not again! Thepchaiya misses out on another 147

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh endured the misfortune of missing the last dark for a greatest 147 break for the second time this season.

The Thai had missed a dark off the spot at the UK Championship in December, and was left further baffled in his World Championship qualifier against Anthony McGill on Tuesday.

Thepchaiya left himself marginally low on the last dark, likewise off the spot, with the ball rattling in the jaws of the base forgot pocket before skipping, bringing on the Thai to toss his signal onto the table in disappointment.

The mistake cost Thepchaiya a £8,500 reward, despite the fact that he looks fit as a fiddle to guarantee the £1,000 prize for the most noteworthy break in qualifying, as he recouped his poise strikingly to thump in a 144 in casing eight, bettering the 142 made by Peter Lines.
